A work for News UK, publisher of The Times and The Sunday Times

The publisher News UK has its own department for Brand and campaign strategy,
Content creation,  Design and Social media management.

On 2016, they updated their website to show their portfolio and news. Today their changed completely the department, including its name (now it is called The Bridge and their url changed twice, now into newscommercial.co.uk).

Technical Analysis

Creating a new WordPress theme, using Bootstrap 3 for the frontend. As we had done previously in other projects, we wanted to give a high flexibility in the creation of new pages for projects and news, so we leaned on the Advanced Custom Fields to give the Administrator the capability to create multiple layouts for a page, base in the addition of sections in the main column and the sidebar.

Carousels, images, texts, quotes… are some of the types of sections that can be included in the case studies, about us and news pages.

We took special care in the responsiveness, the retina images and the time loading. The website loads the image at low resolution first, in order to speed up the loading time, and the replace it by the high resolution depending on the screen resolution and retina feature.
