Kukulkite is a kitesurfing school based in Holbox, Mexico, and I had the opportunity to completely redesign and modernise their website. I had originally built their site back in 2017 with the WordPress technology available at the time. Recently, they reached out to me again to rebuild it from scratch and bring it up to today’s standards.
For the completion of this website, I developed 3 custom plugins
- Coco Polylang Autotranslate: WordPress plugin + N8N microservice connected to ChatGPT, which automates the translation of a page from English into any language active in Polylang. The job is managed by an N8N workflow, and the translations are made by an LLM
- Coco Polylang Blocky: creates a block where you can build different layouts for everyone of the languages of your site. It also provides the block for the language switcher.
- Coco Visual Transitions: nice layouts where sections melt one into another in beatiful fret patterns
The new site is built with Full Site Editing in WordPress, fully integrated with WooCommerce and Stripe as a payment gateway. The website is multilingual, powered by Polylang, and also includes a complete SEO optimisation process to enhance visibility and organic reach.
The result is a modern, fully responsive, and multilingual e-commerce site that combines a great user experience with strong technical performance.
